Clare Norton 27th April 2024

I feel very privileged to have known Julie, even for a short time. It was a pleasure to hear about the life she had led, her family and her travels. I will remember with great fondness the times we spent viewing an atlas to see where she had been in Africa and numerous bird books admiring sketches and photographs. It was lovely to know how happy it made Julie to go out in the gardens at Sandford to enjoy the summer evenings, pick flowers and eat plums straight off the tree. We always tried to find something to laugh about and her cheeky side would come out especially at some of the social events. I will miss her but will remember her with love in my heart.
